Emperor Scorpions

Appearance

Emperor Scorpions are one of the largest species of scorpion in the world.They have two front pincers ( claws) , eight legs and a tail with a stinger on the end.They have a tough exoskeleton and outer scales.

Diet

Emperor scorpions eat insects such as grasshoppers and even other smaller scorpions.

Reproduction

First the female lays the eggs then she transfers them to her back until they hatch then she carries them around on her back for 2 or 3 years until they are ready to move of to defend for themselves and find food for themselves.


Habitat

Emperor scorpions live in Africa, Arizona, Australia and America.They live in grasslands, small holes in the ground, underneath rocks and in bushlands.





Movement

Emperor scorpions scuttle along the ground and will run if cornered.If alarmed, emperor scorpions will wave their front 'arms' as a defence.
